Categorization of Cars

Cars are highly diversified in each and every aspect of designing. Automobiles can be classified on various bases like fuel, speed, aesthetic, and capacity etc. On the basis of capacity there are various ranges. Bubble, city, sub compact, compact, mean size, full size, and executive cars are major ranges in the categorization of cars according to their capacity.

Bubble cars are a progression and alternative for motor bikes. These are at least as fuel efficient as the motor bikes are. These can accommodate two persons at a time. An example of the bubble car is the modern smart for two.

City vehicles are actually manufactured for cities as the name implies. City vehicles are having little bit more capacity and speed against bubble automobiles. They are not likely to be used on super high ways, rural and mountainous regions, specifically these are designed for cities.

Sub compact cars are greater cars that are typically made to accommodate four persons conveniently. These cars can have three, four or even five door opening depending on the use. Ford Fiesta is an example of sub compact automobile.

Compact cars are also known as small family cars. These vehicles can hold up to five adults at a time. Compact vehicles are usually used more in developed regions than the types of cars that were discussed before. These vehicles have more fuel storage capacity. The famous Toyota corolla lies in this category.

Mean size cars are even greater than compact cars. These can accommodate six adults with a larger trunk. These vehicles are having more powerful engine than the compact cars. These cars are also termed as large family automobiles. These cars are more comfy and more lavish that the categories chattered before. Toyota Camry is the one that appears in this class.

Any automobile which is just greater than the mean size cars are termed as full size autos. These are the most spacious cars in all categories. Very powerful, full lavish type design, improved visual structure and thus it is called as comfort car. Due to the heavy model and comfort these cars are not very fuel efficient, therefore instead of a great marvel design these cars are not there in the main stream market. Due to high costs of fuel, people prefer such designs which are less fuel consumable. This is the reason that this category is not such popular. Toyota Avalon is also phrased as full size vehicle.

Executive cars are even more luxurious than the full size design. Dimensionally these cars are just smaller than the full size because of the trunk space which is being reduced. These vehicles are called as entry level luxury or even luxury cars. The companies have introduced sport like characteristics in this category of cars. These cars are having engine amazingly up to eight cylinders as well. The material and building quality of this grade of vehicles are very high. German automobile BMW 3 belongs to the range of executive cars.
